How to wear your summer clothes WELL into Autumn

Styling

Don't pack away all your summery pieces just yet.  I've got a few simple tweaks that will help you get the most of your wardrobe into the new season.

Tip 1- Layer, layer, layer.

Going into autumn you need to get layering up. Heattech tees from Uniqlo and merino cycling shorts under skirts and dresses (these look good) make all the difference and will ensure you stay warm into the new season.

Tip 2 - Add a scarf

A medium weight scarf like the beige and stone leopard print scarf will be your summer to autumn bestie.

Layer up in the chilly mornings and early evening, then stash away in your bag when you don't need that extra layer in the day.

Tip 3 - The final (and most important) layer

Bare leg season is still here.

As long as you're pairing them with cosy socks like these super soft grey angora ones you can keep your legs out (and be warm) for a few more weeks yet.

Tip 4 - One last touch

Taupe Leather Crossbody Lock Bag
Tie the look in with a leather bag in tonal shades.

Taupe, chocolate brown and burgundy all work perfectly to add an autumnal feel to summer pieces, and are great alternatives to black or tan.

So to conclude - do NOT pack your favourites away just yet - just use these few simple tips and tricks to extend the wear (and get your money's worth too!)
